Funding programs

We invest in local community projects, people and organisations through grants, sponsorships, scholarships and donations.

Our support focuses on postcodes 3437, 3431, 3438, 3440, 3441 and 3442, the catchment area for Community Bank Gisborne & District. This includes the townships of Gisborne, South Gisborne, New Gisborne, Bullengarook, Riddells Creek, Macedon, Mount Macedon and Woodend.

In this way, we return income generated by local banking to the communities that have supported us most. That’s why it’s so important customers bank with us in the first instance.

Donations

We give monetary and in-kind donations to registered charities to support their day-to-day operations, rather than for a specific purpose or project.

Examples include contribution to appeals, donation/lending of equipment, provision of expertise and volunteering within normal working hours.

These contributions do not follow a competitive application process, are not provided in exchange for reciprocal benefits and do not require acquittal. They are at the discretion of the MRCE Board, and whilst we don’t accept formal applications, you are welcome to contact us to request a donation.
