Supporting young people on their education journey

Macedon Ranges Community Enterprises is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Community Bank Gisborne & District Early Tertiary Scholarships – an initiative that supports young people from our region as they take their first big step into higher education.

Our Early Tertiary Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to recent secondary school graduates beginning their studies at university or TAFE, helping cover study fees, accommodation or equipment costs. It is one of the most significant ways we reinvest the profits of our Community Bank back into local youth – our leaders of tomorrow.

Some words from our scholars

Darcy Macaulay

“This scholarship means a lot to me, it takes the stress off the financial side of things meaning I am able to focus more on my studies and excel while studying at Marcus Oldham College in Geelong. As it’s an advanced two-year course that normally takes three years, it will make life living at Marcus Oldham just that bit easier.”

Caitlin Harrison

“I am incredibly grateful for the support from Community Bank Gisborne & District through this scholarship. It will provide me with essential resources to excel in my studies at Monash University and work towards achieving my academic and career goals. This support will make a meaningful difference as I begin my university journey.”

Investing in future leaders

We look forward to seeing our 2025 scholars thrive in their first year of tertiary study – and in the years beyond. Their determination, passion and resilience inspire us, and we are proud to play a role in helping them pursue their dreams.

By investing in education, Community Bank Gisborne & District is helping to nurture the next generation of thinkers, innovators and community leaders.

Congratulations to all our 2025 Early Tertiary Scholarship recipients – your community is cheering you on!
