Preserving and sharing our region’s history

In 2025/26 we supported the Gisborne and Mount Macedon Districts Historical Society Inc. with a grant to upgrade its computer systems, helping ensure the ongoing storage, protection and sharing of our region’s rich history.

The Society plays an invaluable role in collecting and preserving historical records, photographs and stories that connect us to our past. These computers are essential to the day-today operation of the Society, enabling staff and volunteers to maintain archives, respond to enquiries and provide accurate historical information to our local community and beyond.

Thank you to the dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to preserve historical records from our local area.

“Becoming a Bendigo Bank Community grant recipient means an immense deal to the Gisborne Mount Macedon & Districts Historical Society. It enables us vital computer upgrades to our inhouse storage and communication systems. Which will in turn strengthen the digital provisions and services we provide to visitors, our local community and
history hunters far and wide.”
